MANAGER'S MINUTES
Shane Szabo
(pictured), raised in Parma, now residing
in Strongsville is 34 years old and the father of two beautiful children
Madeline 7 and Jacob 4.
 Since
he was young, Shane has always enjoyed working with automobiles so a career in
the business was a natural fit. Shane has currently been working in the
automotive industry for 15 years. His initial 11 years were spent with a retail
chain, the first 5 years as an ASE Certified technician, the following 6 years
as a store manager and eventually earning the role of multi-store supervisor.
During that first year, Shane also attended Polaris Career Center in the
evenings and earned a diploma in Automotive Service Technology. Looking for a
new challenge, Shane switched gears and spent about a year and a half in
management in a busy new car dealership service department, quickly achieving
the status of Master Certified Service Manager. After not too long however, he
realized his niche was in the automotive aftermarket. No sooner than Shane began
to explore other opportunities, he was referred by long time friend and former
co-worker, Todd Turner (manager of
Parkway Auto Care)
to owner Dave Justice when plans to open
 Strongsville
Express Tire & Automotive began to materialize. After meeting with Dave,
understanding his vision for the new location and learning about the honesty and
integrity in which Dave and his team do business, he immediately knew this was
the opportunity he had been looking for. Shane embraced the challenges of
opening a brand new facility with open arms and after over 2 years in business,
has never looked back. He thrives on problem solving and overcoming challenges
in the ever changing world of automotive repair business.
When Shane is not working, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Amber and
their children as well as coaching t-ball for his daughter Madeline. Shane is
also a musician, playing guitar since age 5 and drums since age 10. He has
utilized his musical talents playing lead guitar in a band for 13 years, and now
also performs as a live DJ. In addition, Shane enjoys riding his Harley
Davidson, watching horror movies, golfing and playing poker.
